As you may know, I LOVE Major League Baseball.  For a girl, I'm EXTREMELY passionate about it, and watch and attend MANY games during the season.  My kids laugh at me for telling them to support the hometown team, The Arizona Diamondbacks.  "Where are they now?" my son asks.  Good point, but as a fan of the GAME, I think it's totally ok to have many teams that you follow, and it's important to follow the team where you live, even if it's not your favorite!

That said, I also have to say that this is one of the best times of the year for MLB.  The playoffs and now the World Series are fabulous to watch!  If you follow baseball at all, you know that this year has been one of the most fantastic playoff seasons in history.  Each and every game was exciting and many of them came down to the last game for the series to be decided!   Now here we are ready for Game 3 of the World Series, aka "The Fall Classic", and what a series it's been.

I am a San Francisco Giants fan.  My sister lives in San Francisco, and we go to the games whenever possible.

I am fortunate to be able to see the Giants in Spring Training in Scottsdale, as well as watch them play when they visit Chase Field and the Diamondbacks.  While the Giants won the Western Division for the National League, many did not expect them to be in the World Series.  They were down 3-0 in the NLDS verses the Cincinnati Reds, and yet came back to win that series.  Next they faced the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS.  Again they were forced to come back after being down 3-1 and they won that series as well.  So here they are in the World Series, but this time they are up 2 - 0!  Many people are STILL counting them out, even after all of the grit and heart they have shown thus far.  For me, whether they win or lose (although I'm a BELIEVER) I will support them all the way.  That's what being a baseball fan is all about!  You can't be a "fair-weather" fan, you stick with your team and stand behind them win or lose!

I can't wait for the rest of the series, and I'm going to be cheering on my SF Giants dressed in my SF Giants shirts and my SF Giants earrings.  Yep, I have the earrings too!   And the only bad thing about the World Series is that this signals the end of the season for 2012. What am I going to do until March?

GO GIANTS!!!!

I recently took an online class called Flying Lessons by Kelly Rae Roberts.   This was a life-changing experience for me!  Kelly Rae Roberts is an Artist from the Portland, OR area and she has coined the phrase, "I am a possibilitarian".  How fabulous is that?  Kelly Rae believes in the possibilities of what could be, and she shares that inspiration with the world!  She is always positive and totally encouraging in her work, her words, and especially in this class!  She has written a book called Taking Flight:  Inspiration and Techniques to give your Creative Spirit Wings.  It's a wonderful example of her journey as an artist, and how you can come to trust your inner voice about the creativity in your soul even as it is gnawing at you from all angles!  She shares how she quit her job and went on to pursue her dreams of becoming an artist, and you can too!  She also shares beautiful photographs of her work along with her techniques and interviews with other artists as well.

In her class, Flying Lessons, I can't begin to share with you how much I have learned and how overwhelmingly inspired it was for me!  I am now ready to take steps I never thought I could, and most of all to realize that making jewelry for others is my passion, and it is well worth all of the hard work and time that it demands.   The class was 5 weeks long, and it focused on facing your fears, both in life and in your creative business.  It was also extremely informative, and the wide range of topics covered was unbelievable. The whole thing was amazing, and I really feel that it has helped me to  listen to the inner voice which constantly urges me to be creative!  The class members were just as wonderful as the content of the class, and we have a Facebook group (which will continue indefinitely), where we can go to encourage each other and ask for help and suggestions.

I cannot recommend Kelly Rae's book enough, and her online classes are fabulous as well!   Personally,  she has helped me to have a whole new outlook on my creative life and I've become a possibilitarian too!
