Recently I visited Philadelphia with my daughter. I had been there before, but she had not. We had so much fun traveling around the city and seeing the sights, and of course, shopping for school clothes for her Senior year of HS! One morning, we were having breakfast outside at a darling Bistro, and this gorgeous red brick building was partly in my view. It has the most wonderful patina on the window section, and of course, being a metal worker, I was totally inspired by the gorgeous copper and aqua weathered look which had come from nothing more than being exposed to the elements!
I loved the Architecture, and my daughter loved the tall buildings downtown.Of course we passed Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles and Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
We had so much fun spending a few days there, and we made sure to try the best Cheesesteak in Philly, Tony Luke’s!
While we are used to the ridiculous heat in Arizona, we were a little concerned about the humidity in Philadelphia. Thankfully, the weather was great with highs in the 70’s and the humidity was mild. A nice change from the dull, dry, heat we are used to!
